“When someone dies, there’s often a little funny thing when people say like “oh, she had a temper though if you crossed her” or “he really hated caravans” or similar.
But I can honestly not think of anything about Damien Sweeney that doesn’t sound like he was a paragon of perfection. He was funny, good humoured and oh so kind: so very, very kind, in a completely humble way. He was just a lovely human that gave me hope for our species.
There is a big Damien shaped hole for so many of us, which not even the loveliest Laphroaig whisky could fill.
